Kinder Hive

Mainly composed of collections from the eighties, nineties, and early 2000s called "Monobloc".

The statement remains the same as Poly,Bi and MonoKinderchromie Collection wich is :

- Drive the onlooker back to their childhood and evoke all sorts of emotions.

- Acknowledge all the invisible hands behind the creation, production and distribution of the figurines as well as the people who, for half a century, collected Kinder surprises.

- Point out the mass-consumption aspect of it. Ferrero is a multinational manufacturer of branded chocolate and confectionery products. Yet, when purchasing a Kinder Surprise, it's not the chocolate that the consumer is buying but the surprise inside it.

- Point out the environmental issues associated with products made of single-use plastic.

- Link the figurines to individuals. We all became Kinder surprises. Mass-produced, glued to one another, striving to be seen. We all have a market value. All different yet all the same.

For this limited collection of 5, I wanted to go a step further in my statement.

The Hive pattern is designed to metaphorically mimic the society by questioning its structure. In One-hand we live in a society promoting individualism and on the other hand we live in a binding structure made of rules, social pressure, political issues etc. Kinder Hive point out the struggle to reconcile individualism and collectivism.
